Collaborating to unlock value in the West Pilbara
About Us
Creating a pathway to export stranded Pilbara iron ore assets
Ashburton Link is a consortium comprising CZR Resources, Strike Resources, and global transhipment services provider, CSL Australia.
We will be exporting 5Mtpa of iron ore from the Robe Mesa and Paulsens East minesites through the Port of Ashburton in Onslow.
Our Project
Two mines, one shipping agent
Our project combines iron ore exports from two minesites in the West Pilbara – Robe Mesa and Paulsens East.
We will export 5Mtpa of iron ore through the Ashburton Link Export Facility at the Port of Ashburton in Onslow. This provides considerable economies of scale and cost reductions in construction, shipping and transport costs.
01.
Development Application
We have submitted a Development Application to Pilbara Ports for 5Mtpa bulk loading and export facility at the Port of Ashburton. Pending final approvals, construction is planned to commence in Q3 2024, with first ore shipped in mid-2025.
02.
Iron ore mining partners
Iron ore will be sourced from CZR Resources’ Robe Mesa Mine and Strike Resources’ Paulsons East Mine, both located in the West Pilbara, known for rich iron ore deposits.
03.
Safe transport
The iron ore will be hauled by road train to the Onslow Hub, a central ore stockyard 75kms from the Port of Ashburton and stockpiled before being transported to the port.
04.
Transhipping
5Mtpa of Pilbara iron ore will be exported via a purpose built, bulk loading facility. CSL Australia will use a transhipment vessel (TSV) to load cape-sized vessel offshore.
